The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) are revised and published every four years by World Sailing, the international authority for the sport.
The RYA, as the World Sailing, Member National Authority for the UK, makes ‘National Prescriptions’, (which are variations to certain areas within the rules) and publishes them together with other addenda in this very handy, pocket sized, spiral bound waterproof publication.
This edition has been updated to reflect the Racing Rules of Sailing 2025-2028 and is the essential reference text for every racing sailor, club and race official. It also includes:

This is the only publication available that include the RYA’s National Prescriptions which are essential to understand for racing in the UK.
NOTE:
You may be aware that World Sailing has released a number of key changes to the Racing Rules of Sailing 2025-2028, six months after providing the RYA with the rules for publishing in the RYA Racing Rules of Sailing 2025-2028 (RYA item code: RRS25).
There are a number of changes to various sections throughout the book, which means that we’re unable simply to correct or replace copies that have already been sold. However, we’re pleased to offer our customers a solution, which has been applied to the remainder of our stock on 15th January. This consists of a summary of the key changes, printed on two stickers which you can attach seamlessly to blank pages 7-8.
To request your complimentary stickers for any orders of RRS25 placing (and despatched) before 15th January, please email orders@rya.org.uk with your name, RYA order number, and address. Any orders despatched after this date should already be stickered with the summary of changes so there won’t be anything further for you to do.
